Oct 17 – Last COVID tests and a wander around Expo2020

We hung around the hotel this morning to get our last (Yeah!!) Covid tests.  The testing company sent a nurse to the hotel so we didn’t have to go out.  They were late though, so we didn’t get out too early.

This was our 9th covid test in 10 weeks of travel.  And it took a lot of time in some cases to get the paperwork/online for entry into a country done.  Partly because some of the countries were just switching to new, generally online methods.  And these did not work all the time, or there were incorrect instructions, or just forms that did not make sense.

We finally got out and about.

We had lunch at the pizza place in hotel and then headed off to the tram and train to go on one last visit to Expo2020.  This time we had our maps and a plan.

All were really good.  Nearby were the pavilions for The Emirates, India and the USA, which we had hoped to visit.  Unfortunately, the lines were very long and it was hot so we passed.  Had a last dinner at the Belgian pavilion (Chocolate Mousse for dessert…awesome) and then it was back to the train and to the hotel.

We turned in pretty early.  Walking around in the heat here in the Emirates is pretty tiring.
