We arrived in Dubai about 6:30 in the morning after a red-eye flight from Nairobi. Our flight was on Air Kenya…Pride of Africa (get it…lions, pride). The flights safety video featured a friendly lion.
It was till dark when we were landing, and it was interesting to see how the roads were lined with lights. A bit surreal.
Our hotel is the lovely Ocean View, with great views of the water and right across the road from the beach. After settling in we both took a nap until about noon, neither of us slept all that well on the airplane in spite of the lay down seats. Then we had lunch at the hotel and hung around the rooms.
